Providing tools and guidance for independent UX investigations.
OVERVIEW
A development team in the company sought my expertise to address the issue of low engagement with company-developed tools. Leveraging my experience in user experience research, I created a presentation to guide them in conducting effective surveys and research independently in the future.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
The development team faced challenges with low engagement among developers using company tools. They needed guidance on how to conduct user experience research to identify and address the underlying issues affecting engagement.
MY ROLE
I compiled and shared a presentation detailing efficient survey methodologies, including problem definition, objective setting, and research activities. I also provided insights on available tools, question crafting, target audience identification, engagement strategies, and effective use of research insights. My goal was to empower the team to conduct their own user research and address engagement issues autonomously.
RESULTS
The presentation offered a structured framework for conducting user experience research, including essential sections, timelines, and tool options with their pros and cons. It provided best practices for question formulation, target audience identification, and engagement strategies. By following these guidelines, the team gained the skills and resources needed to perform effective research, enabling them to address engagement challenges and make informed decisions for future projects.
